Carnets "Play the World" Grant Winners

Boomerang carnets® is pleased to announce the recipients of 2016 Carnets "Play the World" Grants.  

Carnets "Play the World" Grants provide assistance for the recipients with League of American Orchestra Conference registration fees or comparable travel expenses.

All together, a total of $2,850 grants were awarded to 4 recipients in 2016.  All awardees received their grant checks at the 2016 Annual Conference in Baltimore recently.

Following is a list of the recipients in alphabetical order of the Orchestra names, and the grants they received.

• Empire State Youth Orchestra, Rebecca Calos, Executive Director - Grant Value: $650
• Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, Linda Edelstein, Executive Director - Grant Value: $650 + $250 award for carnet use in 2015.
• The Orchestra of Southern Utah, Emily Hepworth, Manager - Grant Value: $650
• Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras, Joseph Bernstein, Director of Operations & Education - Grant Value: $650
