Qatar Joins ATA Carnet System August 1, 2018
QATAR TO BEGIN ACCEPTING ATA CARNETS
The United States Council for International Business (USCIB) announced that Qatar joined the ATA Carnet System and will begin accepting carnets effective August 1, 2018. Qatar is the 87th country/territory to join the ATA Carnet system. Qatar will only accept Carnets issued for Exhibitions and Fairs.
The official announcement was made during the World ATA Carnet Council (WATAC) meeting organized by the International Chamber of Commerce’s World Chambers Federation held last May 9, 2018 in Xi’an, China.
Qatar (ISO code is QA) will accept ATA Carnets for the intended uses of:
- Exhibitions and Fairs
The National Guaranteeing Association is Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Special Conditions apply:
Partial shipments are not accepted under the ATA Carnet System.
Importation in split consignments is not acceptable.
